GS/OS trouble (AppleTalk)
I know I've seen this problem documented here before, but I can't remember
the solution.
Last night, I reformatted my suddenly-slightly-flaky Vulcan and restored
the files. To get the cleanest possible setup, I reinstalled much of the
software (including GS/OS) from the original disks. I believe that my
system had GS/OS 5.x on it, and was upgraded by the previous owner to 6.0,
then I upgraded to 6.0.1. This time, I started from scratch with 6.0.1.
So far, everything works great, except that as the system boots, I get a
message about AppleTalk being unable to establish the desired connection.
Huh? I never asked for AppleTalk! I even deleted every file I could think
of related to AppleTalk in an effort to clear this message. AppleTalk is
disabled in the control panels. I've never seen this message before. And
before the crash, I had AppleTalk and a LaserWriter driver installed but
inactive and never had any trouble at all.
Anyone know what's going on? And how to fix it?
Thanks...
