VIEWER woes

I am trying to view GIF files using GSOS6.0 and programs like
Brutal.DeLuxe and SHOWME.
Here are some questions:
1) Can and how? Brutal.DeLuxe be configured as a FINDER extension
(There is no problems with SHOME since it is a NDA)
2) When I use Brutal.DeLuxe I find an error message
"NO GIF COLOR~TABLE". What does it mean?
3) I downloaded the problem GIFs using KERMIT as a TXT or/and BIN file.
Same problem of non-perfromance.
