Hehe... this is a great rumor. And I emphasize the word "rumor". This will
never happen. We must all remember that for its time, the apple IIgs was an
amazing piece of work. Its OS was awesome and the system resources were great.

Unfortunately, marketing a 8/16 bit PC in a 32/64 bit world is not wise.
It would be foolish for SUN, APPLE or any other manufacturer to inherit the
antiquated achitechture of the old apple II series. There are too many 
limitations as to what it could do...

An EMULATOR might be in the works. I know that there are some "unnamed"
computer companies working on an apple IIgs emulator right now (which I am
trying to get involved with). But this company doesn't even hold a market 
share at this time, and the machines are not even being mass produced, so it
doesn't look like an apple IIgs emulator will be on your desk any time soon.
