At about that time (circa 1989) I attended a meeting on ALPE that featured an
Applemarketing rep. The gist of it was Apple's position is there was no
identifiable thing as a home market, only business and eduaction existed in
their eyes. It seemed a pretty stufpid position to take to an audiance of
people calling in from home on the home computers. Needless to say we were
pretty flustered. Pretty amazing hearing this from the company that built the
Apple II. I was pretty sure after that meeting that the company that built
the Apple II had gone out of business and was replaced with a stiff shirt
clone making business computers.
