Happy Apple II New Year

This is a "Happy Apple II New Year" wish to all readers-of/posters-to
the comp.sys.apple2 newsgroups.

I want to thank all of you who regularly post interesting and useful
Apple II information. You may not fully realize the value of your posts
to the community of Apple II enthusiasts on the internet.

I could name at least ten "Professors of Apple II" who have contributed
to my understanding and enjoyment of this wonderful family of computers.
I could name them, but I won't, because I would surely leave out some
who also deserve praise, and I don't want to do that. But we all know
who they are. Thank you all for the help you are providing all of us.

My use of the internet is simple. I read the various Apple II newsgroups
to keep up with current happenings, to find out about new utilities or
techniques, to keep up with sources of hardware or software or repairs,
to find out about problems people are having and to get fixes for those
problems. I usually don't feel that I can contribute, but when I can I
will send e-mail or post information. I try to ignore the occasional
fame wars and concentrate on the positive side of the internet. Given
the factors that almost dictate a high noise-to-signal ratio, I think
the Apple II community does far better than average!

The Apple II people that I know could be described as Chaucer described
his Clerk of Oxenford: "... And gladly wolde he lerne and glady teche."

Have a happy, productive, positive and fun Apple II New Year, everybody.
