Just to clarify, Google hides the full email address, but also
provides a way to access it.  If you click on "View profile" beside
the poster's name, then click on the ellipsis ("...") found in the
partial email address, you're prompted to enter a bit of verification
text that is displayed.  Do that, and the full email address is
exposed.  It does help keep your email address from being spammed by
bots, so it's worth the slight hassle.
