Personally I would rreturrn Faxi, and then get a copy of PMPFax (from
and by Paul Parkhurst of ANSITerm and PMPUnZip fame)
 
I know PMPFax works with the Line Link 144e, as I own and use the
Line Link 144e that Paul tested it with :)
