There are basicly two types of serial port cables:
 
1) Straight Thru (also refered to as a modem cable)
2) Null Modem (also refered to as a printer cable)
 
You need to use a straight thru cable between your GS and the switchbox
with null modem cables between the switchbox and the printers. Alternately
you can reverse this (using a null modem cable between the GS and the
switchbox with straight thru cables between the switchbox and printers)
 
If you have all null modem, or all straight thru cables the printers won;t
work as the RxD and TxD lines wont be swapped around as they should be.
