SHRINKIT woes

Shrinkit woes:
I have used SHRINKIT with no problems when I had an
Apple//e.
I am using an Apple//GS now, but only Prodos8.
However, when I try to use SHRINKIT (prodos8),
.SHK-files are not recognized and I get message
"not a known archives".
What is going on?
