What do the Net Apple IIGS users use to write text files to DOS 3.3
5.25" disks?
I often use ShadowWrite (or Hermes) to open DOS 3.3 text files using
the GS/OS DOS.3.3 fst (works great, though it is a bit slow). I also
often copy DOS 3.3 text files directly from a 5.25" disk to a ProDOS
text file using the Finder.
The problem is, since the DOS 3.3 fst is read-only, I can't do the same
thing in reverse and copy a ProDOS text file to a DOS 3.3 5.25" disk,
and I occasionally need to do this to get files to my Apple II Plus.
The obvious solution is to use Copy II Plus. But I find that more often
than not, running Copy II Plus on a IIGS results in DOS 3.3 files that
are corrupted in some way. Version 9.1 is especially bad about this.
(Is this because I have an Apple 3.5 controller card and a Superdrive,
I wonder, and Copy II Plus can't deal with that?)
Anyway, does anyone know of a better utility (preferably a desktop NDA)
for copying a ProDOS text file to a DOS 3.3 5.25" disk?
Thanks for your time.
