Quickie question

I'm a newbie again, too.

I've used my Quickie scanner successfully in my IIe for years; but now 
I've got a IIgs, and am having trouble having the gs recognize the card.

Is there a secret to this?

The card DOES function under Prodos 8 -- but it only gives me DHR pix.  
I'm trying to use the gs software that originally came with the Quickie, 
but it keeps telling me that I must have a Quickie card installed.  (It 
is, in slot 7; I've got the hard drive in slot 6 (it's happier there), 
with the boot slot set to "6".  Slot 7 is set to "your card".

Can anyone give me a hand?
