Quicktake info

I'm wondering if anybody knows how the quicktake camera interfaces with
the macintosh.  Does it use a quicktime video-digitizer module like the
Connectix Quickcam?  I'd like to know because I've written a program
that will take data from a quickcam camera, and I'm interested in also
using it for a quicktake.  Also, does anybody know of other macintosh
cameras which use quicktime video-digitizer modules like the quickcam?
