Help with Quadram Quadlink & Microlog Baby Blue
LN>I have acquired a Quadram Quadlink board (IBM/PC 8-bit board to
LN>emulate an Apple II). I also received the documentation, cables & the
LN>Quadlink System Master Disk R104.
LN>
LN>- Does anyone have any experience with this board?
I worked there while the board was developed, and I was involved in the
testing of software on the board to ensure compatibility. I guess I have
experience with it <g>
LN>- It seems that the "FILER DISK" is missing - anyone have a copy?
This is bad news. Without that diskette, you will never get the card working.
The reason for this is the IBM software (on the Master Disk) reads the FPBASIC
file directly off of the Filer Disk. The loader "knows" what sectors FPBASIC
resides on and does not find the file via the DOS VTOC/Directory structure.
The Filer Disk was bought from Central Point Software for inclusion in the
QuadLink package. Perhaps, if someone (I don't) still has a copy you will be
in business.
LN>- Does Quadram still exist or have an active BBS/address/phone #/WWW
LN>page? Last address I have is 4355 International Blvd., Norcross,
LN>GA 30093, +404-923-6666.
Last I knew they move to "1 Quad Way, Norcross 30093" and their main phone
number was in the 564 prefix. With the recent splitting of the 404 area cose,
I'd sugguest that you call 770-555-1212 and see if they still have a listing.
LN>- Is there any more recent versions of this hardware/software?
I know that some changes were due to be done, but I didn't stay there long
enough to know what the final version for the board/software was.
