I don't know about your machine, but my duo-disk adapter came 
with the ribbon cable going to the DB15 already attached.  (But 
in case anyone's curious, the brown stripe goes on top by the "1" 
pin marker, and naturally the white stripe goes on the bottom).

I install computer hardware for a living, but I don't assume that 
other people are familiar with the same.  Neither do I say that 
people unfamiliar with upgrading computers "don't have half a 
brain".

It's nice of you to keep them to yourself.  Perhaps instead you 
could have filled in what you felt I had left out.
