Apple II: It's a shame they discontinued it...

I have never owned an Apple II/IIe, but I have used one many times. Alot 
of nice features for a 64KB computer. I especially enjoyed working with 
AppleWorks, and the 80-column feature was very nice.

I am thinking that a market still exists for these machines, probably 
more so than in 1991, when they supposedly discontinued it by my 
information. How many units did the Apple II/IIe sell over its long 
history? I am just curious on this because the Commodore 64 that I own 
(and still use,btw) sold a little over 20 million units in its 10 years 
in production...I have been told it is the best-selling personal computer 
of all time. hmm...

Anyways, I was sorry to see that Apple discontinued it. It was a nice 
machine...EXTREMELY reliable.
