Apple III?

	I recently acquired an apple III someone was going to throw 
away.  It came with the green screen monitor and a 'Profile' hard-drive.  
It also came with a bunch of manuals and software.  I used to mess around 
with the IIe back in high school, so I thought It would be neat to 
refamiliarize myself with it.  I found an apple II emulation program for it 
but I don't know if it will run IIe software.  I would like to run it in 
IIe mode and be able to run the programs I get from FTP sites.  What I 
need to know is if the apple III belongs in the garbage, or can I get it 
to act like a IIe?
