The list is easily generated if you have either Kangaroo or FTypeEd. For 
Kangaroo, you go into "Find File" and click the button to load filetypes. 
It actually reads all the filetype definitions stored in your icons 
folder and gives the name, filetype, and auxtype of each. FTypeEd is a 
shareware program that not only does that, but lets you add new ones.
