I have run ProDOS v1.0.1 in a 48KB machine. As I said, BASIC.SYSTEM would not
run but some .SYSTEM programs would. This facility was removed by the time
v1.1.1 came out. The following is from tn-pdos-023:
ProDOS 1.1
o Removed code that allowed ProDOS to boot on 48K machines.
I would agree that it was never officially supported (the lack of BASIC would
have tended to make it rather useless to most users).
