No it won't. The Apple 3.5 Drive cannot handle MFM disk formats (720KB
or 1.44MB) except in one very special case: the drive must be
connected to the PC Transporter, and you must be running in PC mode,
not Apple mode.
In other words, you can copy a file to 720K 3.5" disk on a real PC,
then use the "Transfer" program on the PC Transporter to copy the file
onto a ProDOS disk.
You can use the MS-DOS File System Translator provided with System
6.0.1 if you have a SuperDrive with SuperDrive card, or some other
type of drive/controller that can read MFM (BlueDisk with PC drive, PC
Transporter with an appropriate "TransDrive", SCSI card with Floptical
drive).

Only if it is connected to a SuperDrive controller ("Apple II 3.5 Disk
Controller Card") or ABC Direct's clone (which I still haven't seen
anything definite about).
