Mac IIc Plus

I have been given one objective from my boss regarding getting an 
Apple IIc Plus connected to the Internet:  "Make it So."  I therefore 
am asking for any input regarding how this might be accomplished.  I 
have minimal software, I have the manuals; no modem as of yet, etc.  
The documentation with this friendly computer suggests that my 
display will be "erratic" if I try to communicate at faster than 
1200...can I work around this?  Would a Mac-compatible modem work 
with the IIc Plus?  Where might I acquire communictations sofware for 
the IIc Plus?  PPP?  I am at a loss.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
