Sider's SASI -> Amiga SCSI? Possible?

  I have an old Sider 20MB drive (yes, still works!) for my //e at home, and I have been
wondering what I was going to do with it if it ever crashes beyond software repair. I currently
use an Amiga that has an external SCSI port (DB-25), and I toyed with the idea of using the
Sider on the Amiga.

  Now I know two things:

   1) The Sider is horribly slow (65ms access?) compared to modern drives, and naturally, 
      it would take up more valueable desk space than it's probably worth.

   2) The Sider (original ones, at least) used a SASI interface, which I understand is
      a predecessor to SCSI. This is where my main question lies.

  What is SASI compared to SCSI? Are they compatible to an extent or would I be wasting my time
if I connected the SASI Sider to my SCSI port? Any info on this kind of setup?

  Hmm.. well, I guess those were the days when 20MB was an enormous bit of storage to be had
(Especially on an Apple II)..  Of course, the old Corvus drives make a better fireside story,
though :)
