Tony,
Those are Apple II emulator disk images that have been gzipped.
Here's how to make them usable on your Apple. I'm assuming that you
are using an IBM PC compatible for downloading but there must be
equivalents on the other platforms.
1) Rename the file from *.dsz extension to *.gz.
2) gzip -d *.gz to decompress. this should leave
you with a file that is 143360 in size.
3) Use mapper to reorder the sectors from DOS order
to ProDOS order.
4) Use nulib to create an .sdk disk archive.
5) transfer file to your Apple.
6) Use shrinkit to decompress image back onto a diskette.
Gzip is available from a lot of ftp sites. Mapper and Nulib can be
picked up from ftp.uni-kl.de.
