Actually it's 4 times as fast. The //c+ has a 4 MHz 65C02, meaning it can
run applications faster than an out-of-the-box //gs. :)

Actually, I dunno if pressing escape AFTER rebooting will work. It has to
be in the boot sequence. When cold booting, hold ESC down. When warm
booting, press cntrl-OA-ESC-reset. Instead of "Apple //c+", it'll say
"Normal". That's it. To return to faster operation, reboot like normal.

BTW - flying games like F-15 Strike Eagle, Jet, and ThunderChopper work
better in the fast mode. They're more reponsive and they have faster
screen movements. If you have ThunderChopper, turn the sound off (cntrl-S)
or else the speed will be slow. (The sound circut still runs at 1 MHz, so
anything with continuous sound also runs at 1 MHz.)
