Prodos Error $40 ?

   I thought I had Shrinkit working okay.  I have unshrunk 2 files 
already & they work perfectly.  However, I am getting an error message 
trying to unshrink certain programs.
   The message I get is simply Prodos Error $40, which apparently means 
'Syntax Error' (very little help).
   I am using UNSHRINKII+ .  The programs I have trouble with are the 
Agate & Kermit terminal programs, and DHIRES.SHK.  The programs that 
worked are ZLINK and MACDOWN.  I even tried downloading another copy of 
Agate from a different site.
   These programs were downloaded as BINSCII & converted to SHK.
   Is there a problem with my copy of BINSCII, UNSHRINKII+ or with the 
BINSCII Files that I downloaded? Or am I simply not setting something up 
right?  I use Prodos 1.8 on an unenhanced ][e.
