How did you get it off a 5.25" drive at all? The boot disk is copy
protected.

I wrote a program to enable me to take a backup copy of the game,
which works fine.

I also tried modifying the "DINKEYDOS" operating system to work on a
pair of 3.5" disks, and almost got it working - the game starts fine,
but hangs after a few moves. My 3.5" version has a subdirectory for
each of the eight original disks. The map files are stored in a file
in each subdirectory, rather than being an invisible series of blocks
at the end of each disk.

I haven't had the inclination to investigate why it didn't work
properly, as I didn't particularly like the game anyway.
