CD-SC problem

Hi.

Having recently obtained a CD-SC unit for my //e, I am having
problems getting it going.  

My system is as follows :-
Enhanced //e 
Slot1: TransWarp 3.6Mhz
Slot2: SSC
Slot3: empty 'cos it's a Euro model.
Slot4: Mockingboard
Slot5: UDC, 3.5" FDHD
Slot6: 2 Disk II's
Slot7: Rev.C SCSI, 90Mb HDD, CD-SC
Aux:   Ext. 80-Col

I removed the HDD from the chain, plugged the SCSI system
cable into the CDSC and placed a terminator on the other
socket of the CDSC, as stated in the manual.

I powered the CDSC, inserted the boot CD, waited a few
seconds for it to register and powered the //e, which
attempted to boot from the Disk II drive in slot 6.

Typing PR#7 from BASIC.SYSTEM results in DEVICE NOT CONNECTED.
I've tried unplugging most of the boards, with no difference.

I added the HDD to the chain at the end, with a pass-thru 
terminator on the CD-SC (the HDD is self-terminating). It gets 
power but doesn't spin up until the //e is powered.

I have been using this HDD for a couple of months without any
problems.

Is this a TrmPwr problem, or does the CD-SC look busted?

If it's any help the HDD is a Magnetic Peripherals Inc
(A Control Data Co.) Model# 94211-0911, 5.25" half-height 
drive housed in a Apple CD-300e case (set to Address 0).
The CDSC is set to address 6.

(If anyone can point me to info on this drive, I would be
very grateful...)
