When I first got Platinum Paint 2.0 I couldn't get it to load completely
using either system 5.04 or 6.0. I kept getting a $1301 error when I
tried to load a drawing file or just start with a new untitled sheet.
This past weekend I was fooling around with Appleworks GS trying to get
my Epson printer to respond to the print command. When I finally figured
out that I needed to install the Epson Printer driver and set the printer
card slot to 'your card' everything worked. Just for the heck of it, I
reloaded Platinum Paint which I had given up on weeks ago and it loaded
right away! Somehow it must detect whether your printer driver/slot
config is correctly setup while the program is loading.
I also have Platinum Paint 1.05 but it showed none of these symptoms
before my Printer driver was installed. So you may want to check that
your Printer is correctly setup or that you even have one connected
before this version of the program works.
In case this is not your problem, but it just crashes while in use, I
haven't had time to use mine enough to give you any feedback yet.

David
