My SecondSight doesn't WORK!!



To anyone who can help:

Well, I've had my SecondSight board for almost 2 months now
and no matter what I do I can't get it to work!!

Actually, I can get it to work but only if I pull either my
ZipGS (v 1.0.2, 9/64) OR my RamFAST rev.D 256Kb!!

The SecondSight does some really STRANGE things if these two
boards are installed at the same time! My computer:

Locks up immediately on power-up with either a checkered array
of colored blocks or, classic "TV-type" static or, funky
"background" with the Welcome to System 6.0.1 box superimposed
over the screwed up background. Once again, this is when the
computer is locking up IMMEDIATELY AT BOOT-UP! These wierd
displays occur on BOTH the original GS monitor attached to the
built-in GS video port AND the VGA monitor hooked up to the SS!
(Actually, sometimes when I boot up I get a wierd text display
when it locks up. FWIW)

Here's what I've done:

Measure (and adjust) my 5v rail on the IIgs bus to ensure the
cards are getting enough power.

I changed SRAM chips on my ZipGS.

I changed 65816 CPU chips on my ZipGS. (I had a spare)

I sent ALL my cards to Sequential Systems. (ZipGS, SS, RamFAST,
and my old SCSI hard drive which was a 2.5" drive mounted on a
card which drew power for the drive from the GS slot -- in case
the "hardcard" was making 'noise'). They found nothing wrong with
the cards. (They could get things working on one GS but had
troubles with another GS. They attributed it to my ZipGS's SRAM
chips. But, I changed those and didn't get any improvement!)

Nothing has worked!

Does anyone have any ideas? Why would the combination of the ZipGS
AND the RamFAST cause my GS to not boot AND both video outputs
(internal and SS) to appear corrupt?

I'm desperate! I invested in this card and sure would like to be
able to use it!

Here's my set-up

ROM 01, 4Mb GS Juice Plus, System 6.0.1, SecondSight rom 1.2,
RamFast rev.D 3.0.1ez, ZipGS 9/64, and either an external or
internal SCSI hard drive.
