Usually emulators require a disk IMAGE file. Most of the files on FTP sites
are compressed disk ARCHIVES. These archives would need to be unpacked on
an Apple II first, and saved on a floppy. There are usually utilities
available with the emulator to run either on the PC or on the Apple II to
convert the disk to the necessary image file... Perhaps someone else in
comp.emulators.apple2 can expand on it, I'm not real familiar with the
subject :)
