Excuse me? Ian has been quite supportive of people doing
things for the GS. Lets see, he wrote tmterm to help support GNO, he
wrote a linkable library for anyone who wanted to include
soundsmith/megatracker support in their programs, he wrote AudioZap
for people who were interested in doing sound manipulations, he wrote
ModZap for people who wanted to use their GS for entertainment. Now
what did Ian ask for in return for all this? Simply that people who
used AudioZap would send in a small shareware fee. <SARCASM ON> Yeah,
Ian only attacks the GS community. <SARCASM OFF>

Both you and Dr. Tom seem to have the mistaken impression that Ian
is some all powerful being who controls AppleIIgs users and is using
them in some big master plan against you. While this might make a
good sci-fi novel, it simply has no truth to it.
I have always been cynical so you can't blame that on Ian.
And I am not bitter about anything that I can think of.
[Bashing of other people removed because I don't know enough about
the claims to comment on them.]
I do have to say that it is unfortunate that non-appleII people hang
out on #AppleIIgs but that is life.
: And while all this is going on, these people have the gall to attack
: the integrity of people like me, Steve Disbrow, and Joe Kohn.
: Kind of ironic, don't you think?
It sure is arrogant of you to put yourself in a list with the
likes of Steve Disbrow and Joe Kohn. I have the utmost respect for
Steve Disbrow and Joe Kohn. It always makes a person sound better if
they can list themself with other people who are respected community
members, doesn't it? Nice touch.
: Yeah. #AppleIIGS is a great bunch of guys.
Yeah, like that guy Jawaid Bazyar who used to hang out there
once upon a time. He verbally commissioned some work to be done and
then never paid for the work.
The point is that everyone has a few skeletons in their closet.
I am not defending #AppleIIgs, merely saying that I think
Jawaid's attacks are out of line. I also might point out that
Jawaid hasn't been on #AppleIIgs in at least 3/4's of a year or he
would know that I don't hang out there anymore. So his opinions
aren't based on what is happening now on #AppleIIgs for what it's
worth.
I think the main thing that people need to remember when they
use IRC (be it #AppleIIgs or some other channel) is that there are
people on the other end of those nicknames. People who have bad days,
good days, and everything in between. They aren't there for your
benefit, but they might help you out.
