The IIc can use any hayes compatible external modem on the market.  You
need to get  the IIc to modem cable, of course (Try Alltech Electronics)

as for IIc modem software... teh best is ProTERM.  Call Quality Computers
for that one. If you want shareware/freeware, GEnie and Delphi online
services have all kinds of them.  They probably even exist on various FTP
sites..
