Re: Help transferring ASCII to Apple II via Mac
My solution to this problem of removing an empty resource fork from a
save ascii txt file from the mac, using clarisworks 4.0 with system
7.5.1, is to save it on an 800k ProDOS disk, eject the disk, walk over
to my IIGS, insert the disk, boot up my hard drive with GS/OS v6.0.1
(make sure you have the program Reslin, by R. Bennett), launch that
program, select the option (remove resource) and Reslin will remove the
useless and empty resource fork from the ascii txt file, resave the
ascii txt file, with only the data fork, then ProDOS 8 applications can
deal with it very nicely!
Hope this information has been of some help to you. It works for me and
should work for you.
