I don't know anything about the Doom GS story (rumor), the information 
provided sounds hopeful but, certainly a gigantic effort!  

With respect to BurgerBill and Wolfenstein 3d GS, I spoke by telephone 
(818-966-5538) with Bill yesterday.  He assured me that Wolfenstein 3d 
GS would be finished and released.  Although he didn't say when!
