Hey all. I just bought a used Apple IIc in good working order with an
internal 5.25 drive and an external 3.5 drive. Am I right in thinking
that I need Prodos to use the external disk drive?
I am an old time Apple II+ programmer, but I haven't touched an Apple
II since about 1985. I know nothing about Prodos. Can I use software
on Prodos that was written for Apple DOS 3.3? I want to play with
6502 assembler so I purchased a copy of the Merlin assembler which
comes with DOS 3.3 on the disk, but no utilities. I also ordered a
set of Apple IIc original disks but don't have them yet. Hopefully
those will all come in readable condition.
Will I be able to use the Merlin assembler with Prodos?
Also, are there any decent Prodos tutorials online?
Thanks a ton!
