You're not alone (as Chuck [Pro-Greens] will attest).  See, the code to
detect a mousecard doesn't quite work, so the only solution is to pull
the card, install the program, make sure you have the mouse turned OFF
in your Preferences:General, and go on from there (plug the card back
in and forget about using the rodent).  This should be fixed in the next
version, though presently Tom's unsure of why this function is fubar and
how to fix it.  This bug does not affect GS mice, BTW.
