I assumed the "worst possible scenario": lots of gooey stickey stuff
spilled into the floppy and sticking the disk to the jacket. If
the spill was so minor that there is no sticking between the disk
and jacket, I usually just clean the disk surface through the slot
in the jacket - no need to cut things open.
