Hmmmm...well, my Doom-like rendering engine is working, and I guess it
could be used as a demo, although it currently takes 10 seconds to
render a frame since it is still mostly written in C. Also, right now
it's only using 256 colours, which makes the texture maps look a bit
yucky. I should be able to recompile it to use 32K colours, however,
which would look much nicer.

My only problem is I don't have a decent communications program to
upload the source onto a newsgroup or FTP site. My modem link to
work is pretty crappy quality-wise, meaning the X-Modem protocol that
TelCom uses screws up most of the time. So currently my source is
stuck on my hard drive :-( It's a pretty stupid situation, considering
that I got my original Unix source downloaded onto my GS using Y-Modem
in the first place! Bah!

Has anyone successfully used sb or sz on GNO/ME piped through the modem
port after dialing in using TelCom and exiting that program? I tried doing
this once via the instructions in the sb/sz man page, but couldn't get it
to work. It's very frustrating to be able to download but not upload!
