   Yes, I can confirm that it is only the 8-bit SoftDisk that is dead.
I contacted SoftDisk as soon as I saw the original posts.  They
said that SoftDisk GS still has a strong subscriber base and it is
planned to continue as long as that remains true.
   However, they said that the decline in 8-bit subscriptions
made it economically unwise to continue developing new product for
the 8-bit machines.
