try ftp.support.apple.com , in the directory
"/pub/apple_sw_updates/US/Apple II/HyperCard IIGS"
Note the spaces. There are non-space aliases in each directory, so as
long as you take it one at a time, you'll get there OK, without having to
quote the spaces.
I believe this contains the infamous "extra bytes" file, which has a
header (MacBinary?) before the actual archive. You'll have to strip the
header before GSHK will recognize the files. I think I ended up writing
some C code to do it--does anyone have any such code handy?
