Zip Chip 8000 for Apple ][e

Just purchasd a Zip chip for my Apple ][e, I can't get it to work, I have
followed the instructions tyo a tee. here is what happens:
 
I boot up my ][e, there are several wide vertical bars o the screen, it then
prints Apple //e at the top, then accesses my harddrive once, then stops.
The only way I can get it to boot at all is to remove my RamFast Scsi card,
then it will boot up the floppy drive. I have messed with just about everything
in the RamFast Setup that I can think of. Can anyone offer me a little help?
 
btw, I was reading the manual that came with the Zip Chip, it said something
about if there are bars or garbage on the screen that this is a good indication
that the Zip is not connecting properly. Could this be the culprit?? Why then
would it boot to the flopopy but not the harddrive???
