Sounds like a Paul Statt article from inCider in years gone by. He said vote
with your wallet, buy everything put out so people will keep making stuff.
I imagine people who followed his advice ended up going broke and surrounded
by heaps of stuff they didn't want and never used and got trashed, put in the
attic, or sold for pennies on the dollar. And still most of the companies
making Apple II stuff are gone. It's senseless to buy stuff you don't need
or want in the hopes that you're gonna keep some company making stuff. I
doubt, especially at this late date, that the companies left are driven purely
by the bottom line. I'll buy stuff that I need or want to have. For instance,
if someone built an ethernet card, I'd be all over that. But the machine to 
the immediate left of my IIgs is outfitted with a 16" Trinitron monitor and 
provides 24 bit color at 832x624 so a SS card and new monitor for the IIgs is
a low priority for me to say the least.

Just my $.02, don't get bent out of shape or anything
