Don't use UPS. I've seen postings in other groups about people having
problems with UPS charges when they order from the US for delivery in
Canada. My only personal experience with UPS was when they tried to
deliver something intended for the previous owner of my house. When I
tried to suggest that I find the piece of paper on which I had written
the previous owner's new address I was told not to bother - they would
just wait until they got a call about the package. I'm amazed that they
have any customers. I guess it's first-timers like yourself that just
don't know any better, yet.
The last time I ordered something from the states I just had it sent
through the mail. Don't know how well this works in general but so far
it's worked OK for me.
