If you are just looking for an overview of what the IIgs is capable of
doing, I suggest you obtain a copy of Technical Introduction to the
Apple IIGS. This book, oriented towards the user, briefly examines most
of the IIgs' features. If you'd like an overview of the IIgs from a
programmer's perspective, you should read Programmer's Introduction to
the Apple IIGS. Both of the above books are by Apple Computer, Inc,
published by Addison-Wesley. They are available from the Byteworks.
If you'd like more in-depth info on the IIgs, you need to get some of
Apple's other IIgs technical manuals. I.e. For detailed info on the
IIgs from a hardware perspective, consult the Apple IIGS Hardware
Reference.
