And you have no paddles or joystick, right?  Okay.

Just for general reference on any odd behavior...have you tried emptying
all of the slots and unplugging all of the devices except the monitor and
trying it?  Start with just the CPU.  Then add the keyboard, then add the
drives, then add the memory card.  Eventually, you're likely to install
something that will cause the problem to recur.
