Questions on Apple SC40 Tape Unit

Can anyone tell me the operating sequence of this unit, from tape loading 
through backup and end of backup.  I am especially interested in 
information on the device states as indicated by the leds, which range 
from Green on, to green and red, green and red flashing, and finally 
green only.  If you have the booklet for this unit and want to sell it, I 
would also be interested, or willing to trade fro stuff from my list on 
CSA2M.
