RAM CARDS for IIGS
I wish to thank all the people who wrote me about the AE GS-RAM+ and the
AE RAMKEEPER. I originaly heard of these products in AE print ads that
were run in CALL-A.P.P.L.E. magazine around 1988-89. The ad for the
GS-RAM+ claimed that the card was fully DMA compatible and was being
endorsed by Steve Wozniak. I was interested in the AE RAMKEEPER because
you could put 2 8meg RAM Cards on it and expand your IIGS to 16megs of
RAM with leaving Slot 7 open for a SCSI card. I am interested in hearing
from people who have owned GS-RAM+ and/or RAMKEEPER to see if AE's claims
hold true. I myself own a stock ROM03 GS so that needs to be taken into
consideration because of differences between the ROM0, ROM01, and ROM03
machines. I am also interested in hearing from people who own or have
owned Octoram cards, GSJUICE, and GSSauce cards. I believe that these are
all memeory expansion cards but I have never seen any reviews on them.
Information that I want to know is whether they are full DMA compatible
and what there max RAM is. I assume that the Octoram is expandible to
8megs just because of the name.
Thanks in advance
