I have the AE's Winter/Spring 1989 catalog and it does mention
powering up to 16 megs of memory. What good will that do? I thought
the IIgs could only handle 8 megs. Or can the other 8 be used as a
RAM disk?
A RamKeeper with two memory cards attached is NOT DMA compatible,
regardless if the two memory cards by themselves are DMA compatible.
The GS-Ram+ (rev A) is not DMA compatible at all. The GS-Ram+ (rev D
or better) is fully DMA compatible, but will only DMA up to 4 megs
(will not DMA the last two megs).

While I do not own any of the above (I have AE GS-Ram+ (rev D) and
2-piggybacked CV-Tech 4 meg cards) here is some review info:
GS Sauce : GS+ v2.1
CV Tech 4 meg : GS+ v2.6
CV-Ram 8 meg : GS+ v4.3
inCider/A+ July '93
OctoRam : Call-Apple '87
Sequential Systems is currently selling an 8 meg board for the IIgs:
8 megs (for the ROM 1) $399
7 megs (for the ROM 3) $349
4 megs (expandable to 8) $199
It is DMA compatible to 8 megs. ABC Direct is also in the process of
making an 8 meg card for the IIgs.
