I know that my ][ gets pretty warm inside after running for an hour or so.
But then again I don't really USE the ][ for anything, being the 48K integer
variety, so I don't worry about it. If you talk newer ones like a IIgs, they
can take running longer since they don't generate as much heat. When I ran
my bbs, I had the IIgs sitting in the closet on a shelf. I used a clothespin
attached to the lid to prop it up to allow air flow. There was a 1 mb memory
card, a SCSI card, and a 1 mb slinky card in the machine and I never had heat
problems. Even in the heat of summer in the non air conditioned house.
