Downloading via Lynx

Hej all,
I don't know exactly where I should post this so plz not the
cross post if replying.

I am on the Internet via a freenet and my trusty ol' GS. my
freenet is using (i think) lynx 2.4 (not 2.4.2 beta) and I have a problem
receving some files.

If I FTP into Grind or Caltech the file with the extention .SHK
(the shrunk ones) are list as a text file NOT as a binary file. There
are a few files on caltech with a .BIN extention and they are getting
corectly listed as binary. As it is right now, I am restricted to
downloading file that are only in the BSC format. (ie. text converted
binary). So far this hasn't been to much of a problem EXCEPT for the
fact that I would really like to get my hands on the HyperCard GS disks
from the apple server. these of course are in BXY (listed on lynx as
text) with that wonky 512k header...
Does any one have an idea as to how I can go about getting these
files (and/or other files of similar type ie. .shk, .bxy) from Grind or
Caltech?
	Any help is apreciated.
