  I don't think you can burn out/destroy an Apple without seriously 
trying.  I recall a story from InCider magazine where the author was 
saying there was an accident at work and the sprinkler system went off 
drowning his apple II.  He just poured the water out and let it air dry 
and it worked perfectly.  
  Btw. I know someone else that ran a BBS non-stop off an old II non-stop 
without a problem.  Don't worry.
